New series Beast Hunter on Nat Geo March 4th

A new show titled Beast Hunter is premiering this Friday, March 4th, 2011. It looks like its going to be similar to Destination Truth, but only feature cryptids. The first episode is titled "Man Ape of Sumatra" featuring the Orang Pendek. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

Upcoming Bigfoot special on the History Channel

New Bigfoot special titled "Bigfoot: The Definitive Guide" airs Wednesday, Feb 2, 2011 at 9/8c pm on the History Channel. Looks like "MonsterQuest: Legend of Hairy Beast" will air after that as well.

A team of top scientists come together with one goal to create the definitive guide to Bigfoot. Does the creature exist? And if it does where is it? And how can it survive without being detected? Using a new interactive map the team has plotted more than 10,000 Bigfoot type sightings from around the world. These sightings are of an unidentified creature which walks on two legs and is covered in a thick layer of hair. Many of theses sightings date back over 100 years. With their expert knowledge of the natural world they are able to dismiss nearly 90% of the sightings, but what emerges is a series of global hotspots that cannot be explained which indicate that something is out there. The team examines these global hotspots and searches for explanations including new theories that suggest we may have been looking for the wrong creature all along?

There have been tens of thousands of sightings of Bigfoot type creatures across the world. They are regularly reported in North America, the jungles of Sumatra and Brazil, the Australian bush, the Himalayas, across into China and Eurasia. But no one has ever analysed these sightings from a global perspective to reveal the truth about Bigfoot. By “connecting the dots” we will create The Definitive Study of Bigfoot.

Changes to our Blog

There has been a recent change to our blog. Instead of us posting all of our updates directly to our blog, we have added a news feed at the top of the page. This change was made because most of our posts return to external links anyway and will be just as good through our live feed. For those that come here regularly, the updates will still be here, but in a different spot. This blog will still be used for the writings of our own posts, but not for all of the "Read the full story here." stuff. Our news feed can be found on our homepage as well.

As a police officer I am damn glad that this is going to be exposed. A lot of us are tired of being too frightened to tell or report the sightings we have. I know the Curry cop and can tell you this has had a profound affect on his life.
